History
Founded in 1989, Moviter is a commercial company in the industrial and agricultural equipment sector.
The representation and distribution of equipment began in 1980 by Movicortes. With the growth and diversification of the activity, in 1990 Movicortes created Moviter to dedicate itself to the business of public works and construction equipment. For the agricultural equipment business, he founded the company Terralis.
In 2015, the two companies merged and Moviter took over the entire equipment business within the Movicortes Group. With this change, Moviter also became a public limited company (S.A.). The teams, organization and services of the two business areas became part of a single company, in a simpler administrative structure, in order to reinforce Moviter's identity, process simplification and values. A company with greater ability to intervene in the market, cohesive and close to the customer, throughout the national territory.
Earlier, in 2008, Moviter started an internationalization strategy that took the company to Angola and Mozambique, with the representation of industrial and agricultural equipment, some of which are already well known in the Portuguese market.
